S. Forrest (Bush) Dumville
MLA for District 15: West Royalty - Springvale
S. Forrest (Bush) Dumville was elected to the Legislature of Prince Edward Island in the provincial election held on May 28, 2007. He was re-elected to his second term on October 3, 2011, and most recently on May 4, 2015.
Elected as a Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly, he represents the constituency of West Royalty - Springvale. On January 31, 2018, he resigned from the Liberal Caucus to sit as an Independent Member in the legislature.
During his first term he was Chair of the Standing Committee on Fisheries, Transportation and Rural Development, a Member of the Standing Committee on Education and Innovation and the Standing Committee on Health, Social Development & Seniors. He also served on Treasury Board.
During his second term he Chaired the Standing Committee on Community and Intergovernmental Affairs and the Standing Committee on Health, Social Development, and Seniors. He also served on the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Environment, Energy and Forestry, the Standing Committee on Education and Innovation, and was Government Whip.
Currently, Bush is a member of the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries, the Standing Committee on Health and Wellness, the Standing Committee on Infrastructure and Energy, the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, and the Standing Committee on Rules, Regulations, Private Bills and Privileges.
Bush was a local businessman, community volunteer, and a member of the RCMP. He has served his community for over 30 years as Past President of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown, and as a director of the Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce. He has also led charity campaigns for United Way and Big Brothers Big Sisters of PEI. He is past Master of the PEI Masonic Order, a member of the Island Shrine Club, and Philae Temple of Nova Scotia and PEI.
Bush and his wife Sylvia live in West Royalty-Springvale. They have two daughters, Tara (James Jeffery) & Moya and two granddaughters, Sophia & Chloe.
