The primary purpose of the Legislative Assembly’s social media presence is to provide information about the parliamentary activities of the legislature and not to actively initiate or participate in discussions about public policy. The Legislative Assembly and its staff provide non-partisan support for the work of elected officials and are an impartial and important component of democracy. The Assembly's presence on social media is intended to expand public access to parliamentary activities.
We welcome your input on the parliamentary process directly via email at assembly@assembly.pe.ca. For discussion of public policy issues we encourage you to contact your Member of the Legislative Assembly.
The Legislative Assembly is not responsible for, and does not endorse, content posted by third parties to its social media outlets.
Social media channels are monitored and maintained during business hours by Legislative Assembly staff (moderators). Moderators will remove all comments or links posted to Legislative Assembly of PEI websites and social media channels.
