The following is the present membership of Prince Edward Island Legislative Committees.

Special Committee on Democratic Renewal

Motion 33 created the Special Committee on Democratic Renewal to guide public engagement and make recommendations in response to the White Paper on Democratic Renewal.

Standing Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries

The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries is charged with matters concerning agriculture and fisheries.

Standing Committee on Communities, Land and Environment

The Standing Committee on Communities, Land and Environment is charged with matters concerning municipal affairs and provincial planning, land and local governance, environment, water, forests, wildlife; and justice and public safety, intergovernmental affairs, Aboriginal affairs, Acadian and Francophone affairs, Status of Women, the PEI Human Rights Commission, charities and emergency measures.

The Standing Committee on Health and Wellness is charged with health, social programs, health infrastructure, persons with disabilities, and sport.

Standing Committee on Legislative Management

The Standing Committee on Legislative Management is composed of the Speaker as Chair; the Deputy Speaker or designate; the Government House Leader or designate; the Government Caucus Chair or designate; the Leader of the Official Opposition or designate; the Opposition Caucus Chair or designate; and the Leader of the Third Party or designate. The Standing Committee on Legislative Management is charged with policies for the administration of the Legislative Assembly; the provision of security, facilities and services, including allocation to party caucuses and individual members; the appointment, supervision and management of the staff of the Legislative Assembly, other than the staff of party caucus offices and the office of the Leader of the Opposition; review of the estimates of expenditure for the Legislative Assembly, including the forecasts and analysis of expenditures and financial commitments of the Legislative Assembly; and other matters necessary for the efficient and effective operation and management of the Legislative Assembly. Meetings of the Standing Committee on Legislative Management are normally held in camera.

Standing Committee on Public Accounts

The Standing Committee on Public Accounts is charged with matters concerning the Public Accounts of the Province, the annual report of the Auditor General, and fiscal management.

      Topic: The committee will continue its review of the Joint Audit of Atlantic Lottery Corporation, dated October 2016, by the auditors general of the Atlantic provinces. Auditor General B. Jane MacAdam will be in attendance.

The Standing Committee on Rules, Regulations, Private Bills and Privileges is charged with matters concerning the rules and standing orders of the Legislative assembly, scrutiny of regulations, private bills, and the privileges of individual members and the Legislative Assembly as a whole.
