Darlene was born in Eldon and raised in South Pinette. She has a business degree from Casco Bay College in Portland, Maine. Darlene has a background in interior design, construction and renovation. For the past three years, her career has been as the administrator at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge in Eldon.
Darlene has two grown children, Katie and Glen, and now lives on her family's homestead on the Ponds Road in South Pinette with her husband Russ.
Darlene serves on the board of the Belfast Development Corporation that oversees Belfast Highland Greens Golf Course and the Lord Selkirk Campground and Belfast pool.
She was elected in May of 2015 and also serves on the Standing Committees on Health and Wellness and Public Accounts, and is the Shadow Critic for Finance, the Status of Women, and Family and Human Services.
