Indemnities & Allowances Commission

The Indemnities & Allowances Commission is established under Section 46 of the Legislative Assembly Act to review and recommend salary and benefits for the members of the Legislative Assembly.

The Commission is made up of three individuals appointed by the Speaker, and is independent of the Legislative Assembly. Commissioners serve until the Assembly in which they were appointed is dissolved, annually reporting their binding decisions to the members of the Legislative Assembly by December 1 of every year.
