Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Monday, August 24, 2026 – The swearing-in ceremony for new MLA Tayte Willows will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., in the Legislative Assembly Chamber, The Honourable George Coles Building, Charlottetown. The ceremony will be live-streamed here on assembly.pe.ca.
Prior to assuming a designated seat on the floor of the House, all Members must swear or solemnly affirm the Oath of Allegiance as required in the Constitution Acts 1867 to 1982, Section 128. Pursuant to direction received from His Honour, the Lieutenant Governor, the Oath will be administered by the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Joseph Jeffrey.
