Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, December 4, 2018

The Honourable Francis (Buck) Watts welcomed representatives from the House of Assembly of the Turks and Caicos Islands to PEI's Legislative Chamber on Tuesday afternoon.

In July 2016, a Parliamentary Partnership Agreement was signed between the Turks and Caicos Islands House of Assembly and the Prince Edward Island Legislative Assembly. This Agreement aims to promote a sharing of best practices and expertise between our parliaments on areas of common interest, including Hansard services, training to promote parliamentary development and expertise, the operation of Legislative Libraries, quality assurance and management services, facilitating parliamentary exchanges as a means of fostering links between parliamentarians and parliamentary staff and hosting youth parliaments.

Representatives from the Parliament of Turks and Caicos Islands include: the Honourable Dwayne S. Taylor – Speaker of the House of Assembly of Turks and Caicos Islands and the Honourable Royal S. Robinson - Opposition Appointed Member, the House of Assembly of Turks and Caicos Islands.
