Olive Crane gives notice that she will ask the Minister responsible for Health the following question:

A constituent who is 21 years of age and has Type 1 Diabetes, with a pump is struggling to pay for the much-needed supplies for his pump.

What options are available to help cover the costs of the silhouettes for the needles needed per month( cost min of $ 230 - max $460)? This gentleman has no drug coverage and makes $12 an hour and works a 40 hr week full time. Although a government program pays for 100 test strips for free, he uses a least 200 per month. What options are available to help with the costs of the test strips? The insulin he requires is covered by the province but not the$20 co-pay, what options are available to cover the co-pay costs? What options are available to cove the cost of the reservoirs that he needs to keep the diabetes under control which are costing this young man approximately $50 per month?
