Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, November 20, 2019 - The Honourable Colin LaVie, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island is very pleased to be hosting students from across the Island at this year’s Rotary Youth Parliament.
The Speaker will be welcoming the 32nd Annual Rotary Youth Parliament on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1:45 p.m. The Speech from the Throne will be delivered by The Honourable Antoinette Perry, Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island.
Students from across the province will debate under the direction of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, and will continue throughout the day until 8:30 p.m., resuming again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Topics debated are of current concern and chosen by the youth participating.
The general public and media are welcome to attend this event.
