Page Program
The Legislative Assembly is the provincial parliament for Prince Edward Island. The Office of the Legislative Assembly is a dynamic team, dedicated to supporting the work of Parliament and of all Parliamentarians.
The Legislative Assembly Page Program provides students with an opportunity to see first-hand how laws are created in our province and gain a better understanding of the work of the Legislative Assembly. Most former PEI Pages agree that the experience is a great way to see Island politics and government in action.
What is the Page Program?
Pages play an integral role at the Legislature; it is with their aid that the daily business of the House is able to proceed. Each year, high schools across the Island nominate one student to participate in the Legislative Assembly Page Program.
To be eligible for the Page Program, students must be grade 11 or 12 honours students, with an interest in the Legislative Assembly and public affairs. Students are expected to place a priority on their responsibilities to the Legislature. Those unable to meet the demands of regular weekly shifts during Legislative sittings due to extracurricular activities should not consider applying (please see below for additional information regarding scheduling). Eligibility to participate in the program is limited to one year (one year = both fall and spring sessions).
