March 13, 2025, Charlottetown – The Official Opening of the 3rd Session of the 67th General Assembly of the Province of Prince Edward Island will commence at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24th, 2025, in the Legislative Chamber, 1st floor, the Honourable George Coles Building.
Following the resignation of the Honourable Sidney MacEwen as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, effective February 12, 2026, the day will start with a secret ballot election of a Speaker. A Speech from the Throne will follow.
The House meets daily Tuesday-Friday during the sitting:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays - 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Fridays - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
